Payments & pricing
Do I pay before or after the service?
It depends on the service:
- Food Delivery — you pay upfront before Jin places your order.
- Soft Landing & Settle In — Jin confirms availability first, then sends you a PayPal invoice. You pay after confirmation but before the service begins.
- VIP Booking — full ticket cost plus service fee paid upfront before Jin makes the booking.
- Concierge Pass — paid upfront as a bundle before using any tasks.
- Quick Fix — paid upfront before Jin starts the task.
You will never be asked to pay anything unexpected after the service is completed.
What payment methods do you accept?
All payments are made via PayPal. Jin will send you a PayPal invoice with the exact amount. You can pay using your PayPal balance, a linked bank account, or a credit or debit card — no PayPal account is required to pay an invoice.
If you have a Korean bank account, you are also welcome to pay via Korean bank transfer (계좌이체). Jin will provide his account details upon request. Please note that international transfer fees are the responsibility of the sender.
We do not accept cash or cryptocurrency.
Are prices shown in USD or KRW?
Service fees (e.g. Soft Landing from $180, VIP Booking from $15) are listed in USD for international clarity. Food delivery budgets are shown in both KRW and approximate USD since the actual order is placed in Korean won on Baemin.
PayPal will automatically convert the currency at the current exchange rate if your account is in a different currency.
Is there a service fee on top of food or ticket costs?
For Food Delivery, the price shown already includes Jin’s service fee — there is no separate charge. What you pay is what covers both the food budget and the concierge fee. No surprises.
For VIP Booking, the ticket or reservation cost plus Jin’s service fee ($15–$20 depending on the booking type) are both clearly stated before you pay.
Cancellations & refunds
What if I need to cancel my food order?
If you cancel before Jin has placed your order on Baemin, you will receive a full refund.
Once the order has been placed on the delivery platform, it cannot be cancelled and no refund is available — this is because the restaurant has already started preparing your food.
Contact Jin immediately via WhatsApp, LINE, or KakaoTalk if you need to cancel, as speed matters here.
What if I need to cancel my Soft Landing booking?
More than 48 hours before your arrival: Full refund, no questions asked.
Less than 48 hours before your arrival: No refund, as Jin has already arranged travel to the airport on your behalf.
Flight delayed or changed: Notify Jin as soon as you know. We will do our best to accommodate the new time at no extra charge. If the delay makes the service impossible that day, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
What happens if Jin has to cancel?
If Jin must cancel due to illness, a family emergency, or circumstances outside his control, you will receive a full refund of any amount paid, plus the option to reschedule at no additional cost.
Jin will notify you as early as possible if this happens.
What if the concert or event I booked gets cancelled?
If the event is cancelled by the organiser, the ticket cost will be refunded to you in full.
Jin’s service fee ($15–$20) is non-refundable in this case, as the booking work was already completed. This is the same policy most booking agents apply.
Can I get a refund on my Concierge Pass if I don’t use all 10 tasks?
No — the Concierge Pass is non-refundable once purchased, regardless of how many tasks have been used.
The good news is that unused tasks never expire. Your pass is valid for your entire stay in Korea and can be carried forward to a future visit. Think of it like a pre-loaded card that stays topped up until you use it.
Food delivery concierge
What hours is the food delivery service available?
The food delivery concierge is open daily from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM KST.
You can pre-order during the day — just select your preferred delivery time when placing your order and Jin will queue it for you. The earliest delivery slot is 5:30 PM.
Can I choose exactly what I want from the menu?
Not exactly — that’s the whole point of the concierge model. You choose a food category (e.g. Fried Chicken, Sushi, Tonkatsu) and a budget tier, and Jin picks the best available restaurant and items based on his local knowledge and current ratings.
You can leave notes for dietary restrictions, spice level, or allergies and Jin will take these into account when ordering. This approach means you get a genuinely good local recommendation rather than just whatever comes up first on an app.
Where does the food get delivered?
Anywhere that Korean delivery apps can reach — which covers most of Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and major cities across South Korea. Just provide your address in English and Jin will handle the Korean address entry on Baemin.
If you are staying in a hotel, include the hotel name, room number, and any relevant lobby or reception instructions.
How will I know when my food is coming?
Once Jin places your order, he will send you a screenshot of the Baemin delivery ETA via WhatsApp, LINE, or KakaoTalk — whichever app you used to book. You will know the estimated arrival time before your food leaves the restaurant.
Soft Landing — airport arrival
Which airports do you cover?
Jin covers Incheon International Airport (ICN) and Gimpo International Airport (GMP).
The service is not available at Jeju, Busan, Daegu, or other regional airports.
What exactly happens when I arrive?
Jin will be waiting for you at the arrivals gate with your name. From there he will guide you through:
- SIM card or eSIM purchase and activation
- T-Money transportation card setup
- Choosing the best transport option to your accommodation (AREX, airport bus, or taxi)
- Travelling together to your accommodation
- Supporting you through the check-in process
The service covers up to 3 hours from the point of meeting at the gate.
Do transportation costs come out of the $180 fee?
No — transportation costs (subway, bus, or taxi fares during the session) are paid directly by you. The $180 fee covers Jin’s time and expertise only.
Jin will advise you on the cheapest and most practical transport option for your specific destination.
Settle In — expat admin
Can you help me find accommodation?
The Settle In service starts after you already have a place. Jin can help you review and translate your housing contract, accompany you to the contract signing, and assist with setting up utilities — but property searching is not currently part of this service.
Can you help me outside of Seoul and Gyeonggi-do?
It depends on the type of help you need:
Remote services (contract translation, document review, Wi-Fi guidance, ARC process advice) are available anywhere in South Korea — Jeju, Busan, Daegu, anywhere.
In-person services (contract signing, bank account setup at a branch, ARC office visit) are limited to Seoul and Gyeonggi-do only. A travel fee of $20 applies for locations outside Hwaseong and Suwon.
How long does a bank account setup take?
Plan for 1.5 to 2 hours at the bank branch. Traditional banks such as Shinhan, Woori, or Hana can take longer due to document checks and the number of forms involved. Kakao Bank and Toss can sometimes be completed in under an hour remotely, but availability depends on your visa type.
Jin will advise you in advance on which documents to bring to avoid a wasted trip.
Can you help with the ARC (Alien Registration Card) process?
Yes. Jin can help you remotely with understanding the ARC process, preparing the correct documents, and knowing what to expect at the immigration office. For in-person accompaniment to the Hi-Korea immigration office, this is available within Seoul and Gyeonggi-do.
VIP Booking
Why can’t I just book concerts or clinics myself?
Most Korean ticketing and booking platforms require Korean identity verification (KCP) and a Korean credit or debit card. Without a Korean phone number, Korean ID, or Korean bank account, foreign visitors are simply blocked from completing the purchase — even if they have the money ready.
Jin uses his Korean identity and payment methods to make the booking on your behalf.
How do I receive my ticket or reservation confirmation?
Once the booking is confirmed, Jin will send you a screenshot of the confirmation via WhatsApp, LINE, or KakaoTalk. For physical tickets, arrangements will be discussed based on the specific event or venue requirements.
